Why every subscriber gets the digest at the same time
For a short time, sharing your Sparkfare link could move you and your friend to an earlier send: the daily digest went out at 07:00 UTC to people who had referred a friend, and at 08:00 UTC to everyone else. We removed that on October 20, 2026. The digest now goes to every subscriber at the same time.
Why we took it out
Sparkfare's whole case is that a fare comes with its basis: what it is compared with, how many observations sit behind it, and when we saw it. Selling a one-hour head start on the same list cuts against that. Speed is the wrong thing to ration, and a referral reward that only works by putting some readers behind others is not one we want to stand behind.
What did not change
Your referral link still works, and confirmed referrals still count toward the other rewards on the Referral Hub. Nobody paid for the earlier send, so nobody lost anything they bought. The daily digest, the "skip a day when nothing changed" rule and the price-history basis on every fare are the same for everyone.
