What happens after you click "Book this fare"

Clicking a deal doesn't drop you straight onto the booking site. A few things happen first, on purpose — here's the actual sequence, signed in or not.

If you're signed in

1. We record the trip — destination, price, and departure date — so we can later confirm whether it actually got booked.
2. You'll see a brief interstitial screen with an Away Mode teaser before continuing on to the booking site. There's always a manual "Continue to booking" link if you don't want to wait.
3. Shortly after, you'll get a follow-up email with the real Away Mode checklist for that trip — the same three partners covered in Away Mode, not a separate list.
4. The trip shows up in your Trips dashboard with its current status.

If you're not signed in

Clicking "Book this fare" takes you to sign in first. We don't track a trip against an anonymous click — there'd be no account to attach it to, and no one to send the follow-up email to.

Why the interstitial exists at all

It's not a speed bump for its own sake — it's the one moment we can actually put the Away Mode idea in front of you before you're deep into a booking flow on someone else's site. After that, the actual booking happens on the airline or booking platform's site, not ours.
